Bio: Srinivas received his Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics from the Penn State University. During his professional career he worked extensively with computational mechanics and nonlinear materials including elastomers along with other classes of nonlinear materials. He has also taught classes on experimental elastomer analysis and nonlinear analysis.

Creep is a time-dependent inelastic behavior that can occur in a material at any stress level, either below or above the yield stress, although in many real world applications, it is often accompanied by plasticity. Creep is especially an important factor at elevated temperatures and needs to be analyzed with care to obtain better designs. Creep analysis has application in nuclear industry, manufacturing processes, sealing, turbines and jet engines to name a few. This webinar will provide an overview of creep models available in Marc and steps for a successful creep analysis.
