Bio: Ron Behee has been involved in thermal modeling since 1973 and has worked mostly in the aerospace industry modeling spacecraft, aircraft, missiles, and electronic packages. In the late 1980's Ron began developing thermal modeling tools and started his own consulting company. In 1995 he bought Network Analysis Inc, the company that developed his favorite thermal analyzer SINDA/G. For the next 13 years he continued to develop thermal modeling tools and interfaces to graphical modelers as he ran Network Analysis Inc. with customers in 25 countries. In 2008 MSC Software acquired his company, and his team of developers became part of MSC. Now he continues to direct the development of advanced thermal products and to teach classes in thermal modeling.

About this Webcast!
This webinar will present an overview of the capabilities of MSC's advanced thermal products based on Sinda with practical examples in the areas of automotive, aerospace and solar energy. These examples will include forced and natural convection, conduction and thermal contacts, radiation and solar heating on earth or in orbit. MSC's Sinda product is a thermal network type analyzer that utilizes different technology than FEA thermal solvers. Sinda is more like a thermal programming language than a simple solver, and allows users to add new capabilities to the solver. Demonstrations on the ease to incorporate a user's custom programming logic will be presented. The Sinda thermal solver also transparently integrates into Patran producing a simple to learn and use but full featured thermal design system. Also presented in this webinar will be the new capabilities of Sinda 2012 with its integration into Patran 2012. These include a full 64 bit version of Sinda, support for multiple enclosure radiation and micro-functions that can be attached to loads to achieve complex loading without tables or programming.
